Sustainably Fueled by a Higher Power

Lewis Hall

In the fall of 2011, Grace Church completed renovations on Lewis Hall, our new recovery designated meeting space.  Grace applied for a mission development grant for this project, received $10,000 from the Episcopal Diocese of CT, and managed to squeeze paint, new flooring, a kitchenette and a new bathroom out of the money with the help of many program volunteers and donors.  The new space is a great healing environment - comfortable and welcoming.  This quiet space encourages discussion, is warm in the winter and cool in the summer.  There is ample storage space for each meeting, and there is a small, separate conference room suitable for smaller meetings, break-out beginners groups or for quiet conferences with a sponsor.  Best of all, this space is designated specifically for recovery use, and the church has invited the recovery community in the Trumbull area to make ample use of it to promote further sobriety and serenity.    Those interested in starting new recovery meetings or in setting up a "clubhouse" with regular hours are welcome to connect with the church office to work them into the Lewis Hall schedule.  The Lewis Hall Meeting Rooms are open at all times for those who'd like to use it for sponsor/sponsee meetings.

If you are a member of a 12 step recovery group, your are invited to consider this your space in Trumbull.  Please use it, take ownership in it, take good care of it and give back by developing it into a thriving resource for recovery in the Trumbull area.

If you have any questions or would like to explore some possibilities, please contact Chris (AA) or the Grace Church office (Al Anon).
