Sustainably Fueled by a Higher Power
Faithful Support For People In Recovery
Grace Church has been offering the Recovery Eucharist as a welcoming, come-as-you-are liturgy for all those who want to celebrate their recovery or the recovery of others in a worship setting. Rooted in the ancient Christian liturgical tradition, elements of the service are drawn from the Episcopal Book of Common Prayer. Eucharist is celebrated with grape juice instead of wine and everyone is welcome to take part in the communion.
This fall we switched the recovery service to Sunday evenings, and after 3 months, we can clearly tell it is not a good time! So the service is on hold for December and we will return on a different day and time in 2013.
Does the recovery service matter to you? We need to hear from you! Please Email Elsa with any comments or suggestions you might have for this service in the future. And if you're interested in being a part of the discernment group that will determine the future of the service, let her know.
