Sustainably Fueled by a Higher Power
Nitty Gritty Nuts and Bolts
The Ministry of Property
A group of really handy people can often be found in the most unexpected places fixing, mending, painting or helping out electricians or plumbers. Others will be spotted trimming shrubs or weeding and cultivating our beautiful front gardens. These property angels show up when least expected and make a huge difference. Once or twice a year we schedule a clean up day, on which people can pitch in together for a satisfying day of great accomplishment as we tackle projects together. Clean up days are a fun way to give a lot in just a short amount of time.
A few people love to putter around in our front garden, which for a number of years was neglected. It's shaping up again - and more is to come to make our front yard a place that will be open to the town as a place of respite. If you want to do some peaceful gardening in a place that doesn't seem to have a deer problem (so you can actually enjoy what you planted!) you are most welcome to pitch in.
Grace Church has been blessed with a great deal of property, but obviously that blessing brings a great deal of responsibility along with it. So we are all very grateful for the time and energy so freely given by everyone who attends to our physical church home in both big and small ways. If you’re ‘handy’ in any way, your contribution to the beautification and upkeep of our buildings and grounds is always welcome. If you'd like to pitch in, please let us know! For any property issues, please contact our Junior Warden, Chris.
